A Note From The Author
Having grown up in an environment of unmet needs, trauma, and false teachings, my heart holds a special place for children and a desire to direct them to the Lord in their formative years. What they learn when they are young will shape and influence how they view God, their outlook on life, and what they will do with it. I want to point children to what I didn’t receive as a child – the firm foundation to base their purpose and identity in Jesus Christ.
It is my heart’s desire to be physically present and active in the community. I have an especially soft place in my heart for those who feel unseen or unloved, and for those who are hurting or discouraged, rejected by the world. I have a vision of reading to a sick child in the hospital feeling despair, to an orphan feeling abandoned or unwanted, and to a young burn victim feeling ugly and unlovable. These little ones need to know they are seen, they are loved, and they are beautiful and immeasurably valued in the eyes of their Father.
I pray for the Lord to open doors and bring me and my beautiful wife, Laurie to these little ones, that we may in some small way show them the love of Christ Jesus as we read these stories to them and share the powerful love our God has for them.
